The Foundation of Fulton-Montgomery Community College (FMCC) is proud to support the Perrella Gallery’s newest exhibition, William P. Wiatr: The Adirondack Artist. This captivating show, running from November 18, 2024, to February 21, 2025, showcases the stunning beauty of the Adirondack Park through the eyes of local artist William P. Wiatr.

Wiatr, a resident of Poland, NY, located in the foothills of the Adirondacks, draws inspiration from the majestic mountains, serene lakes, and diverse wildlife that surround him.

His paintings, imbued with a rustic charm that complements the Adirondack essence, depict a variety of landscapes, reflecting a deep connection to the natural world.

A self-taught artist who began his artistic journey in 1976, thanks to early encouragement from his grandmother, Wiatr has seen his work travel far and wide.

Thousands of his original paintings and prints grace collections across the globe. Locally, many residents have likely encountered Wiatr’s work at the Northville Rotary’s Annual Woodworking and Fine Arts Weekend, where he’s a regular participant, showcasing and selling prints of his original works.

“The Perrella Gallery is thrilled to host William P. Wiatr’s captivating exhibit,” says Brian May, Gallery Director. “Wiatr’s talent and passion for the Adirondacks shine through in each of his paintings. This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to experience the beauty of this iconic region through the lens of a local artist.”

The Perrella Gallery is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm during the semester. Appointments can be made for visits outside of these hours. Weekends and holidays find the gallery closed. For more information, please contact Brian May at perrella.gallery@fmcc.edu.
