Brent Phetteplace ‘92
Brent Phetteplace has been an Associate Broker at Judith Ann Realty for 31 years. Prior to that he was employed at Whiteco Metro-Communications in Latham for 2 years. He earned an Associates Degree in Plastics/Mechanical Technology from SUNY Morrisville, an Associates Degree in Business Administration from FMCC, and a BS in Economics from SUNY Oneonta.
Brent is active in his community and has served on the Amsterdam Memorial Hospital Board of Directors, St. Mary’s Hospital Board of Trustees, Amsterdam Rotary, President of the Sarah Jane Sanford Home for Women, Scout Leader for Cub Scout Pack 101, Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 48, Secretary for the Montgomery County Industrial Development Agency, FMCC Foundation Board, served 20 years Town of Amsterdam Board of Assessment Review, Chairman of the Town of Amsterdam Planning Board for 3 years, currently Town Councilman Town of Amsterdam, and an active member of the Tribes Hill Fire Department and is the acting financial secretary. Brent is also the proud father of two Eagle Scouts!
Brent has received the Amsterdam Rotary Club’s Rotarian of the Year Award, Montgomery County Office for the Aging Father Girzone Crystal Pillar of the Community Award, Boy Scouts of America Flint & Steel Award for Service, Herb Singer Community Service Award from the Chamber, and the THFD Herb Lansing Dedication to Department Award.
FMCC was a great stepping stone to forward my education and I had some great professors including Art Recesso and Andy DiNitto and many others! Brent resides in Hagaman with his wife Deborah Slezak Esq, son Samuel, daughter Kate, and son Luke.
